These Tonga sculptural baskets are handwoven entirely from Ilala palm leaves by women of the Ndebele tribe in rural Bulawayo, Zimbabwe — using a traditional technique passed down through generations. Women gather under the shade of large trees to weave and connect, each infusing her own touch into every basket. No two are identical.
