Bamboo Salad Bowl - Large 11" Handcrafted Serving Bowl
The salad bowl that empties the cupboard of its ceramic rivals. Hand-spun from bamboo by artisans in Vietnam, this large serving bowl is surprisingly light in the hands, food-safe for hot dishes up to 158°F as well as cold food and liquids, and generous enough to serve salad for 6-8 (or pasta for even more). Choose from natural bamboo, matte, gloss lacquer, or eggshell finishes - the eggshell is real crushed duck eggshell, saved by farmers and hand-applied piece by piece, so no two bowls match.
Bibol's workshop has practiced bamboo spinning since 2007, shaping each bowl from bamboo trimmings that would otherwise go to waste and finishing it with only water, natural pigments, tree resin, and marble powder - no solvents or VOCs.
