A cold-process bar soap built around activated charcoal, with a scent blend of bergamot and clementine essential oils finished with a hint of cinnamon. The base combines organic fair-trade coconut oil with sunflower oil and organic shea butter for a creamy, conditioning lather; the charcoal gives the bar its deep black color and lightly grippy texture.

Slow North is a woman-owned studio in Austin, Texas. It started when its founder, a new mother, went looking for genuinely clean home and body products and couldn't find them - so she began making her own. That has grown into a small-batch line of candles, bath and body goods, and home fragrance, all made by hand in the studio.
