A handwoven throw in 100% baby alpaca, in a warm brown that sits easily against almost any room.
Baby alpaca is not a young animal - it is a grade of fiber, sorted for fineness, and one of the softest grades there is. Only royal alpaca, which is rare, is finer. Alpaca carries no lanolin, the grease in sheep's wool behind most wool itch, and weight for weight it is warmer than wool.
The surface is brushed, so it has a soft raised nap rather than a flat weave. At 51 by 71 inches it covers an adult on the sofa properly and is still light enough to leave on the bed year round.

Handwoven in Peru by artisan communities in the Andes, by a family-owned maker that works directly with the weavers and pays fair wages that build long-term work for their families. Ethically handcrafted, start to finish.
The alpacas are sheared once a year in spring and the fleece is spun into yarn. Handwoven, so color depth and weave vary a little from piece to piece. Made in Peru.
